It's for a good cause.

I'm riding a century in Tucson this November, and also raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
The LLS is a pretty big organization that has directly funded drugs and treatments that fight cancer. I'm trying to raise $4500 to benefit the society.
